TROUBLESHOOTING

Resolve common issues without weakening security.

CSAEC — Practical checks for incomplete assessments, limited network visibility, local AI initialisation, email actions and language display.

CHECK DOES NOT COMPLETE

Wait, review, then recheck.

Allow long-running modules time to finish. Confirm that the application remains open and the workstation is responsive. Review whether suitable permissions are available. Use the individual recheck once. If the issue repeats, record the control name, time and message and contact authorised IT support.

Do not repeatedly launch overlapping scans or disable endpoint controls to make the check complete. An incomplete result is a limitation that should be recorded.

NETWORK RESULTS LOOK INCOMPLETE

Confirm the expected network.

Check that the workstation is connected to the intended local network. VPNs, guest networks, wireless isolation, firewalls, segmentation, sleeping devices and stopped services can change visibility. Compare results with an authorised inventory and network owner.

Do not scan other networks or broaden the assessment scope without explicit permission. Lack of visibility does not prove the absence of devices or exposed services.

LOCAL AI IS UNAVAILABLE

Allow on-device initialisation.

The embedded model can need time to load, particularly on first use. Confirm that the authorised build includes the model, sufficient local storage and memory are available and no organisational control has removed a required local component.

The AI is designed to work without Internet access, so connecting to the Internet should not be treated as the default remedy. Availability depends on the installed build and local configuration.

EMAIL ACTION DOES NOT OPEN

Review the Windows default application.

The report-sharing action prepares a message through the default email client. Confirm that a compatible email application is configured in Windows. The application does not silently send the message on your behalf.

If email is not approved for sensitive reports, save the information according to policy and request an authorised secure sharing method.

LANGUAGE CHANGE APPEARS INCOMPLETE

Redraw or restart the interface.

Change the language again or restart CSAEC. Cached structured results can be redrawn without repeating the assessment. If specific content remains inconsistent, record the affected area and application version.

RESULT CHANGED AFTER RECHECK

Compare conditions and assessment time.

A point-in-time result can change when updates, services, radios, network connections, permissions or endpoint protection state change. Confirm what changed between assessments before concluding that the earlier result was incorrect.

POSSIBLE ACTIVE INCIDENT
Follow your organisation's incident-response process.

If compromise is suspected, avoid deleting evidence, shutting down systems without guidance or making uncoordinated changes. Use the emergency contact action only as an additional communication path; it does not guarantee immediate response.

Information to collect for support

  • Application version and authorised build
  • Windows edition and 64-bit confirmation
  • Assessment date and approximate time
  • Name of the affected control
  • Exact visible error or limitation
  • Whether the issue repeats after one recheck
  • Relevant permission or network context

Information to protect

Do not place credentials, authentication tokens, full vulnerability reports, confidential host lists or sensitive network diagrams into an ordinary support email. Confirm the recipient and approved transfer method first.
